Privacy

The app is built to work offline.

This support and privacy website is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub logs visitors' IP addresses for security purposes. This page contains no advertising, analytics, or tracking scripts. Visiting this website is separate from using the offline app.

Oilfield Calc Toolbox does not require an account and does not include advertising, third-party analytics, or an operator-controlled cloud job database. The app does not ask for a name, email address, precise location, contacts, or photos.

Tubular selections, dimensions, depths, pressures, fluid properties, rates, and other calculation inputs are processed on the device. The app operator does not receive those inputs or results. Calculation entries held in memory are discarded when the app process discards them.

Copy and Share run only when you choose them. The destination you select—such as email or messaging—handles the shared text under its own terms and privacy practices.

Public iPhone releases starting with version 0.1.0 build 6 have no in-app report form. Choosing Support lets you open this website in your external browser. No app diagnostics, calculation entries, or saved tubulars are attached to that link. If you choose to email support from this website, your email provider and ours process the message you send.

In versions that include Report a Problem (including Android and earlier private iPhone builds), reporting is optional. When you tap Send Report in the app, the issue type, app section, description you type, app version, and platform are sent to Formspree for delivery to our support inbox. Formspree may process ordinary network metadata under its own privacy terms. No calculation entries or saved tubulars are attached automatically; please do not put confidential job information in your description. If you email support instead, your email provider and ours also process the message you send.

Purchases

Store transactions stay with the store.

If this release offers a Pro unlock, Apple or Google processes the transaction under its own terms. Oilfield Calc Toolbox does not receive your card number or store password and does not intentionally attach calculation inputs or results to a purchase request.

For offline continuity, the app may keep a minimal Pro entitlement and product identifier in operating-system-protected storage. It does not intentionally retain a store receipt, purchase token, transaction identifier, or payment details.

Google Play reviewers can enter a private review-access code on Android. The code is checked locally and saved only in operating-system-protected storage. It is not sent to us or to a service, does not create an app account or a store purchase, and is not required for ordinary customer purchases.

Retention & deletion

Local data stays under your control.

When you explicitly save a tubular, the app stores a bounded tubular record on that device. It contains tubular geometry and strength fields, a local identifier, and creation time—not a well name, job name, operator name, location, account identifier, or free-form field note.

Remove an individual record from Dimensions & Strengths, use Delete All Saved Tubulars on the in-app Privacy screen, or remove the app to delete those local records. On Android, uninstalling the app removes its local Pro entitlement. On iPhone, the protected Pro entitlement may remain in the iOS Keychain after uninstalling and may be available if you reinstall the same app; do not rely on uninstalling to erase it. Restore Purchase checks the current store account's eligible purchases and can re-establish access after reinstalling. A successful store refresh that finds no matching completed purchase removes the app's local Pro entitlement.

Reviewers can choose End Review Access on the Pro Access page to remove the saved reviewer code and its access grant. This does not remove a genuine Pro purchase.

Submitted reports may be retained by Formspree and in the support inbox. To request deletion of support correspondence, email oilfieldcalctoolbox@gmail.com. Some records may need to be retained for legal, security, or accounting reasons.
